JANUARY --- "ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE" MONTH!
Going Green
What does being "green" mean? What does alternative energy mean? Participants will get to build and test miniature wind turbines to investigate these principles. Presented by the Arizona Science Center.

FEBRUARY --- "WILD ABOUT ANIMALS" MONTH!
Plant and Animal Partners
Investigate pollination and seed dispersal to discover how plants and animals depend upon each other. Learn about the special adaptations of hummingbirds, butterflies, and other pollinators that help them gather nectar from specific flowers. Students will meet live animals that help plants or are helped by plants. Presented by the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum.

Threatened and Endangered Species
Meet some Sonoran Desert native plants and animals that are in trouble, learn about their habitat requirements and identify changes that are causing some to disappear. Find out what you can do to help. Presented by the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum.

MARCH --- "ROBOTICS" MONTH!
Robot Discovery
By examining how robots function and what type of work robots do, participants will learn about robots in our everyday lives. Come and compare the parts of humans and robots, model robot programmer behavior, learn about the jobs robots have, and interact with robots with various types of information sensors. Presented by the Arizona Science Center.

Forensic Investigators
Who stole the cookie form the cookie jar? Participants will investigate different techniques to collect clues and solve a mystery! Presented by the Arizona Science Center.
